The Texas Southern women's golf team achieved a third-place finish at the 41st Annual Thomas W. Dortch Jr. HBCU Collegiate Golf Classic in Suwanee, Georgia. The tournament, originally scheduled for 36 holes, was shortened to an 18-hole event due to inclement
weather. The Tigers posted a team score of 313. Junior Abiha Syed led the team, tying for third individually with a score of 2-over 74, which included one birdie, 14 pars, and three bogeys. Senior Thaiz Amezcua and junior Daniah Syed each shot a 6-over 78, placing them in a tie for 12th. Sophomore Carmen Pate finished at 11-over par, and Zufan Girard at 13-over par. The event, hosted by the Black College Golf Coaches Association, featured 16 men's and eight women's teams from Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).
