Paul Blackburn, a veteran coach with 35 years of experience in teaching and coaching, has been appointed as the new athletic director for the Lebanon School District. Blackburn officially assumed the role on July 13, following his retirement in June from
the Derry Township School District, where he chaired the health and physical education department and coached the Hershey High School boys' basketball team for 16 years. Prior to his tenure at Hershey, Blackburn also achieved significant success coaching the Lebanon Cedars boys' basketball team in the early 2000s. His coaching career boasts a combined record of 462-252 over 28 years as a head coach, including a 270-132 record at Hershey. Blackburn's decision to take on this new challenge comes after a brief retirement, driven by his desire to remain active and contribute to a community he deeply values. He is the seventh athletic director for the Lebanon School District in the last 21 years.
