The Pitt volleyball team inaugurated the new Victory Heights Arena with a competitive Blue-Gold Scrimmage. The event marked the first public athletics event at the $240 million complex, which includes an athletic performance center impacting 16 of Pitt's
19 teams. Team Gold, led by Olivia Babcock and new setter Izzy Starck, won the five-set match against Team Blue. The scrimmage showcased the team's potential, with head coach Dan Fisher expressing excitement about the squad's capabilities. The arena, which replaces the 75-year-old Fitzgerald Field House, offers modern amenities and a closer fan experience.
