Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls, a new 4v4 tag team fighting game, has announced its first Year 1 DLC character, Phoenix Cyclops, during a panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2026. Voiced by Ray Chase, Phoenix Cyclops is inspired by his Phoenix Five incarnation
from the Avengers vs. X-Men storyline and utilizes the Phoenix Force, a power associated with the X-Men character Jean Grey. The character is set to be released in fall 2026 as the first of four DLC characters planned for the game's first year. Alongside this announcement, the game's opening movie was revealed, created by Japanese animation studio Sanzigen and directed by Daisuke Suzuki. The movie draws inspiration from classic fighting games and early 2000s anime openings. The song featured in the opening, 'Stronger as One,' will be available on streaming platforms. Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls is scheduled to launch on PC and PlayStation 5 on August 6.
