What's Happening?
Oswego County, New York, is undertaking a significant expansion of the L. Michael Treadwell Oswego County Industrial Park in the Town of Schroeppel. This $14 million investment, overseen by the County of Oswego Industrial Development Agency (IDA), will
more than double the size of the existing 135-acre industrial park by developing infrastructure across a newly acquired 185-acre expansion site. The project aims to create up to 10 shovel-ready sites, capable of supporting approximately 1.1 million square feet of manufacturing and industrial development. The expansion includes the construction of over 3,700 feet of new public roadway, more than 4,000 feet of public water and sewer infrastructure, new electric, gas, and telecommunications utilities, a new electric substation, and stormwater management improvements. Funding for the project comes from a collaborative investment involving federal, state, and local partners, including $2.5 million from the U.S. Economic Development Administration and $8.1 million through Empire State Development’s FAST NY program.
