Commvault has launched Active Directory Pre Recover, a new cyber recovery capability designed to significantly reduce the time needed to restore identity services after a cyberattack. This system creates a standby copy of Active Directory (AD) within
an isolated, air-gapped Commvault Cleanroom environment. In the event of a production AD failure, organizations can quickly switch to this standby copy, bypassing the lengthy process of a complete Active Directory forest recovery. The solution also incorporates Commvault's Threat Scan technology, which continuously scans AD backups for malicious content, ensuring that restored identity services do not reintroduce threats.
