Robot.com, a San Francisco-based startup formerly known as Kiwibot, is expanding its operations from delivery robots to workplace humanoids. The company has introduced R-noid, a humanoid robot on wheels, designed to perform repetitive tasks such as packaging
orders, loading and unloading boxes, and preparing workstations. This move is part of a nearly two-year effort to broaden its market reach beyond campus delivery robots into commercial labor automation across various industries, including food service, logistics, and healthcare. The company has already deployed fewer than 40 R-noids across about a dozen customers, including a deployment at Harbor Links Golf Course in New York. Robot.com is collaborating with Physical Intelligence, an AI lab partner, to develop custom foundation models for R-noid, enhancing its capabilities in different environments.
