What's Happening?
Osmond Resources has announced significant assay results from its Orión EU Critical Minerals Project in southern Spain. The company reported high-grade intersections from drill hole SOR-08A, including notable concentrations of titanium dioxide, zirconium
dioxide, and rare earth oxides. These findings confirm mineralization continuity across the Southern Block, expanding the project's target footprint. The results are expected to enhance the upcoming mineral resource estimate and Scoping Study. Osmond has also expanded its mineral resource definition target by an additional 4.1 square kilometers in the Southern Block, complementing the existing mapped area in the Avellanar Block.
Why It's Important?
The expansion of the Orión project's target area and the promising assay results underscore Osmond Resources' potential to become a significant player in the critical minerals sector. The project's focus on titanium, zirconium, and rare earth elements aligns with the growing demand for these materials in various industries, including technology and renewable energy. The successful expansion of the resource target area could attract further investment and accelerate the project's development, contributing to the supply of critical minerals in Europe and beyond.
What's Next?
Osmond Resources plans to integrate geological modeling and metallurgical data from the Southern Block into a fast-tracked Scoping Study, scheduled for completion by the end of Q3 2026. The company anticipates that the recent assay results will materially upgrade the project's mineral resource estimate. As the project progresses, Osmond will likely continue exploration activities to further delineate the resource potential and advance towards production. The company's strategic focus on critical minerals positions it to capitalize on the increasing demand for these resources.
