Costco has received final approval from the Sanford Planning and Zoning Commission to proceed with construction at the Seminole Towne Center in Seminole County, Florida. The approval of signage plans marks the last step before demolition can begin at the site,
which will include a new Costco warehouse, liquor store, and gas pumps. The development is expected to revitalize the area, which has seen a decline in retail activity. The project will occupy nearly 50 acres and is anticipated to be completed within nine months of starting construction. Economic Development Director Brady Lessard highlighted the project's potential to increase the mall's value significantly.
