What's Happening?
USA Fencing is set to implement a new points and events structure for Cadet, Junior, and Division I categories starting August 1. The changes include renaming the second tier to 'Challenger' and allowing Junior and Cadet fencers to earn points at regional
events nationwide. This aligns them with Division IA, II, and III fencers who already had this privilege. The update also introduces an in-region protection window for RJCC and ROC events, ensuring local fencers have priority registration. Additionally, SJCC point values are established, and the structure for D1A, DV2, and DV3 events is clarified. Division qualifiers will continue with adjustments for the Junior Olympics, and local event point values will now scale with event strength.
