What's Happening?
Since 2020, several sports programs in the Cheboygan area have achieved remarkable success, capturing numerous championships and accolades. Notably, the Cheboygan Bowling teams, under Coach Brian Taylor, have won multiple regional and conference titles,
with standout performances from players like Cole Swanberg and Morgan Jones. Inland Lakes Football, led by Coach Travis Meyer, has also been dominant, securing regional championships and a state runner-up finish. The Inland Lakes Volleyball team, coached by Nicole Moore, consistently won district titles and produced all-state players. Additionally, the Inland Lakes Girls Basketball team, under Coach Daryl Vizina, achieved its first regional title in the 2025-26 season. These programs have demonstrated excellence and resilience, contributing to the vibrant sports culture in the region.
