New Century FS, headquartered in Ames, Iowa, and part of the GROWMARK System, is offering an 'Exploring Agriculture Agronomy Operations Intern' position for the Summer of 2027 in Vinton, IA. This internship aims to provide hands-on experience in agronomy
field and operations, assisting with facility and equipment maintenance, and building professional relationships with FS locations and customers. Interns will operate field research and crop monitoring equipment, apply crop nutrition and protection products, and gain understanding of ordering, receiving, and inventory control. The program requires participation in all 'Exploring Agriculture Internship Program' activities, including an orientation meeting in Bloomington, IL, from May 17-18, 2027, and submission of weekly activity reports. Interns will also focus on an operational project designed to improve business efficiencies. New Century FS serves over 13,000 customers across Central to Northwest Iowa and Southeast South Dakota, offering a range of agricultural products and services.
