Seiko has crafted a one-of-a-kind watch for Shohei Ohtani, celebrating his ten-year tenure as a Seiko ambassador. The watch, named the Seiko Star Time, was presented to Ohtani on July 3 and is not available for purchase. This exclusive timepiece features
a unique design with five concentric discs that track time across various scales, from 24 hours to one million hours, symbolizing a full human lifetime. The watch is made from High-Intensity Titanium and includes a blue sapphire set in the crown. The design also incorporates Ohtani's jersey number, 17, prominently displayed in red. This project began when Ohtani posed a reflective question to Seiko about the time he has left in baseball, prompting the company to spend three years developing this mechanical answer.
