What's Happening?
M&S is deploying 10 electric trucks across its food and fashion supply chains to cut emissions from deliveries. The initiative includes DAF XD electric tractor units, with five already operational and the rest expected to be in service later this year.
These trucks feature technology to reduce diesel use in refrigeration, supporting M&S's goal of fully electric transport operations. This move is part of the eFREIGHT 2030 project under the UK government's Zero Emission HGV and Infrastructure programme.
