Onita Davis, a middle blocker for Tarleton State Volleyball, has been named the United Athletic Conference (UAC) Freshman of the Week. This marks the first time a freshman from Tarleton State has received a conference weekly honor since 2022. Davis, a native
of Colleyville, Texas, was also recognized on the UNT Invitational All-Tournament Team. Her performance included hitting .407 at Texas Tech with 13 kills from 27 attacks. She continued her strong play in the UNT Invitational, hitting .406 in the Texans' final three non-conference matches, matching her career-high of 15 kills while hitting .571 against East Texas A&M. Davis also recorded 15 kills against Arizona earlier in the season, making her the second player in the program's Division I era to achieve multiple 10+ kill matches against Power 4 Conference opponents.
