Moldova's national telecommunications operator, Moldtelecom, has completed a joint network optimization project with intelligent operations provider Kenmei. The initiative focused on enhancing the performance of Moldtelecom's 4G LTE network and initiating
optimization for its 5G NSA C-band network. This collaboration builds on previous engagements between the two companies. The project addressed various aspects, including LTE multi-band and carrier aggregation performance, mobility, load balancing, the interaction between 4G and 5G layers, and initial VoLTE tuning. Kenmei utilized Moldtelecom's network data to analyze configurations and performance, identifying areas where the network was not fully leveraging its spectrum capabilities. Recommendations were then reviewed with Moldtelecom's engineering team before implementation, with subsequent measurements confirming the positive impact of the changes. Victor Moldovanu, Head of Mobile Network Development at Moldtelecom, highlighted the collaborative effort and knowledge transfer between the teams, ensuring continued development and optimization of their networks.
