Ruth White, a junior at the University of New Hampshire and an Orono High graduate, successfully defended her title as the Maine women's champion at the TD Beach to Beacon 10K in Cape Elizabeth. White completed the race in 34 minutes and 5 seconds, improving
her time by 46 seconds from the previous year. This victory marks her third Maine women's title, having also won in 2023. Despite not breaking the course record, White expressed satisfaction with her performance, emphasizing her love for racing and the pressure that comes with defending her title. The race saw Windham's Clíodhna O'Malley and Wayne's Heather Gallant finishing second and third, respectively.
