Prichard Colon, a former Puerto Rican boxer, has died at the age of 33, 11 years after suffering a severe brain injury during a fight. Colon was left in a vegetative state following a controversial bout against Terrel Williams in 2015, where he was repeatedly
hit with illegal punches. After the fight, Colon was diagnosed with a subdural hematoma and fell into a coma for 221 days. Despite emerging from the coma, he remained unable to walk or speak without assistance. His family cared for him until his passing.
