What's Happening?
The U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF) has allocated $15 million each to 12 new Regional Innovation Engines over a two-year period. These engines are designed to foster technology clusters, workforce programs, and regional economies across 20 states.
The initiative brings together universities, nonprofits, private companies, and workforce organizations to focus on technologies such as artificial intelligence, quantum computing, semiconductors, biotechnology, and energy infrastructure.
