Hyundai Motor Group's Executive Chair, Euisun Chung, recently visited Hyundai Motor Türkiye to assess the production readiness of the IONIQ 3, marking the facility's initial foray into electric vehicle (EV) production. The plant has been preparing its
infrastructure for the IONIQ 3 since last year and began pilot production activities in May. During his visit, Chung reviewed the entire production process, from body manufacturing to final assembly, emphasizing the importance of maintaining high standards of quality and safety. Additionally, Chung inspected the battery system production processes at Hyundai Mobis' Battery System Assembly facility. The IONIQ 3, a compact hatchback, is the latest addition to Hyundai's dedicated IONIQ EV lineup, designed to cater to European customers. It features an Aero Hatch design for aerodynamic efficiency, the E-GMP platform, and Hyundai's next-generation infotainment system, Pleos Connect. The vehicle also includes SmartSense, Hyundai's suite of advanced driver assistance technologies. Hyundai plans to launch the IONIQ 3 in Europe in the latter half of the year.
