Alexanne Lepage, a swimmer from Vernon and a member of the University of Calgary Dinos swim team, has been selected to join Team Canada for the 2026 Pan Pacific Swimming Championships. The event is scheduled to take place from August 12-15 in Irvine,
California. Lepage secured her spot on the team following an impressive performance at the Bell Canadian Swimming Trials held in Montreal from July 5-9, where she won gold in the 200-metre breaststroke with a personal-best time of 2:23.03. This time ranks as the seventh fastest in the world for the event in 2026. Team Canada’s lineup for the Pan Pacifics includes Olympic medalists Summer McIntosh and Taylor Ruck, with a total of 20 women and 22 men on the team.
