Epiroc, a leading provider of mining equipment, has secured a significant order to supply a fleet of Pit Viper 351 surface blasthole drill rigs to a major copper mine in Peru. This mine is operated by a consortium that includes prominent Chinese investment
firms and a globally recognized mining company based in Australia. The order, valued at approximately SEK210 million ($21.8 million), was recorded in the second quarter of 2026. Alongside the drill rigs, Epiroc will provide drilling tools, spare parts, and comprehensive on-site technical services, including field support and specialized training programs. These efforts aim to enhance the mine's safety, productivity, and overall cost efficiency. The Pit Viper 351 rigs are equipped with Epiroc's Rig Control System (RCS), which supports automation, setting a high standard for productivity and reliability in large-scale mining operations.
