Palisade Metals (ASX:PM1) has significantly expanded its Finley Basin Tungsten Project landholding in Montana, U.S., by 87%. The company staked federal unpatented lode claims covering an additional 324
hectares, increasing the total project area from 372 hectares to over 696 hectares. This expansion follows geological mapping, sampling, and a review of historical exploration data, including airborne geophysical surveys. Palisade Metals states that the new claims encompass projected mineralized trends and prospective areas surrounding the existing project. The claims were staked under the name of Finley Mining, in accordance with their farm-in agreement, and have been integrated into the Finley Basin project under existing terms. Executive Chairman Chris Evans indicated that this move was made as the company's understanding of the project developed. The phase-one drilling program is scheduled to commence in the third quarter of 2026, aiming to verify and extend tungsten mineralization previously identified through historical drilling. Palisade has also secured a non-federal commercial road use permit from the US Forest Service for operations along Finley Basin Road, with remaining Montana exploration approvals expected soon.
