The Estonian yacht NOLA, a Carkeek 40 type, has won the Sail Racing ORC A class at the 44th Copa del Rey MAPFRE regatta in Mallorca. The yacht, owned by Margus Uudam and Taavet Hinrikus, outperformed the two-time ORC world champion Rán in a closely contested
final race. The regatta, held in Palma Bay, is one of Europe's most prestigious sailing events, attracting nearly a hundred yachts and numerous world and European champions. King Felipe VI of Spain also participated, sailing on the navy yacht Hispania. The NOLA's victory marks a significant achievement for the Estonian team, which began as an amateur group in 2021.
