The Lee County Rec Center has initiated an After-School Climbing Club, offering local youth an opportunity to engage in rock climbing. This program, held every Tuesday from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, provides climbing lessons, pizza, and a drink for a fee of $7

Lee County is recognized as a premier rock-climbing destination, with the Red River Gorge Climbers' Coalition managing over 1,500 acres of recreational land, including the Pendergrass-Murray Recreational Preserve and Miller Fork Recreational Preserve, which attract climbers globally.
