What's Happening?
A series of five morning exercises has been recommended to help individuals over 60 restore full-body mobility. These exercises, which include Cat-Cow, World’s Greatest Stretch, Hip Circles, Standing Arm Circles with Thoracic Rotation, and Standing Ankle
Rocks, are designed to improve joint mobility and muscle control. The exercises are dynamic, focusing on moving joints through their full range of motion, which helps warm up the body and improve coordination. This routine aims to alleviate morning stiffness and prepare the body for daily activities.
Why It's Important?
Maintaining mobility is essential for seniors to perform daily tasks and maintain independence. As people age, joint stiffness and reduced flexibility can hinder movement, leading to a sedentary lifestyle and increased risk of falls. By incorporating these exercises into their morning routine, seniors can improve their flexibility and reduce stiffness, enhancing their overall quality of life. This proactive approach to mobility can also prevent injuries and promote a more active lifestyle, which is beneficial for physical and mental health.
