USA Rare Earth, Inc. has commenced construction on a new $1.2 billion rare earth metal and magnet manufacturing facility in Blacksburg, South Carolina. The facility, spanning 800,000 square feet on a 124-acre site in Bailey Industrial Park, is designed
to produce 6,400 metric tons of sintered neodymium-iron-boron (NdFeB) permanent magnets and 5,000 metric tons of strip-cast metals and alloys annually. This project is a significant step in the company's strategy to establish a secure, integrated domestic supply chain for rare earth elements. The facility is expected to create approximately 490 skilled manufacturing jobs in the region and is slated to begin production in 2028. This initiative complements USA Rare Earth's existing magnet manufacturing operation in Stillwater, Oklahoma, and is part of a broader effort to reduce U.S. reliance on foreign sources for critical materials.

This includes ongoing development of its Round Top deposit in Texas and its ownership of Less Common Metals (LCM) for metal and alloy production.
