What's Happening?
Ballard Power Systems has announced a significant order for 15 megawatts (MW) of fuel cell systems intended for stationary applications. This order, placed by a company specializing in renewable off-grid power generation, includes 150 FCmove®-HD+ 100
kW fuel cell modules. This marks the second large-scale order from the same customer, following a similar purchase in 2024. The fuel cells are expected to be delivered starting in the second half of 2026 and will be utilized in hydrogen gensets for various applications such as live events, construction, movie sets, and critical infrastructure. Ballard's CEO, Marty Neese, highlighted the order as a testament to the growing market adoption of zero-emission fuel cell solutions for off-grid power needs.
