St. Mary's County Recreation & Parks has launched a new self-serve recreational equipment rental program across three of its parks: Snow Hill Waterfront Park, Chancellor’s Run Regional Park, and Lexington Manor Passive Park. This initiative, in partnership
with Rent.Fun, allows visitors to rent equipment such as kayaks, paddleboards, pickleball gear, disc golf sets, and bocce ball equipment directly from kiosks. To access the rentals, users must download the free Rent.Fun app, create an account, and then scan a QR code or enter a locker number to unlock their chosen equipment. Rental options vary by location; for instance, Snow Hill Waterfront Park offers kayaks and paddleboards for $25 for up to two hours, $40 for up to four hours, or daily/weekly rates for Rent.Fun GO Members. Chancellor’s Run Regional Park provides pickleball and bocce ball equipment at $5 per hour, while Lexington Manor Passive Park offers disc golf sets for the same hourly rate. The process concludes with returning the equipment to the correct locker, securing it, and uploading a photo via the app.
