Eve Air Mobility has progressed to the next phase of flight testing for its eVTOL engineering prototype, following three months of software updates and ground testing. The prototype, which is battery-electric-powered, completed its hover phase in April
and is now in the 'transition kickoff' phase. This involves maintaining lift rotors before moving to full wingborne flight, a transition expected to be completed by the end of the year. The company, backed by Embraer, aims for local Brazilian certification and FAA and EASA validation of the Eve 100 by 2028. Additionally, Eve has announced new letters of intent (LOIs) for its eVTOLs, including a commitment from Switzerland-based Moov for up to 30 units to explore advanced air mobility opportunities in Cabo Verde and Europe.
