What's Happening?
Chamber Night is set to return to downtown Flossmoor on July 29, offering residents an opportunity to support local businesses while enjoying live music, art, and community activities. The event, which begins at 5 p.m., will feature performances by local musicians
and members of the Illinois Philharmonic Orchestra. In addition to musical performances, the event will include a live plein air painting experience, with completed works auctioned to benefit Flossmoor’s public art program. The event aims to create a pedestrian-friendly environment by closing downtown streets to vehicle traffic, encouraging visitors to explore local shops and eateries.
Why It's Important?
Chamber Night serves as a vital community event that supports local businesses and fosters community engagement. By drawing foot traffic to downtown Flossmoor, the event helps boost the local economy and provides a platform for artists and musicians to showcase their talents. The event also highlights the importance of public art and community collaboration, as proceeds from the art auction will benefit local art initiatives. This annual tradition, initiated during the COVID-19 pandemic, continues to strengthen community ties and promote cultural enrichment.
