Genentech, a member of the Roche Group, has unveiled plans to invest approximately $750 million in a new device fill-finish manufacturing facility at its Hillsboro, Oregon campus. This significant investment aims to introduce end-to-end device filling
capabilities to the site, thereby expanding Genentech’s capacity to support its future pipeline of innovative medicines. The expansion is projected to double the size of the existing facility and create 250 high-wage manufacturing jobs, in addition to approximately 200 construction jobs during the development phase. Commercial operations at the new facility are anticipated to commence in 2031.
