What's Happening?
A streamer known as Uwos Lab has successfully built a desktop PC powered entirely by AA alkaline batteries. During a five-hour live stream, Uwos Lab constructed the PC using 192 AA batteries, organized into three laser-cut wooden boxes. The batteries were wired
in series and parallel to achieve the necessary voltage and current to power the desktop. The PC, based on an AM4 motherboard without a discrete GPU, was booted using a USB drive running Hannah Montana Linux. The streamer used this unique Linux distribution to benchmark the system, which operated at 98% CPU usage while running a stress test and streaming simultaneously. The battery setup allowed the PC to run for 30 minutes, with the potential for a few more hours of operation.
