Hachette Book Group (HBG) is set to implement the Batch for Books platform on July 7, enhancing its invoice and payments management processes. This move follows HBG's partnership with Batch, a platform widely used by booksellers for its intuitive and paperless
system. The platform is designed to streamline invoice management and payments, allowing booksellers to focus more on community engagement and connecting readers with books. HBG joins other major publishers like Penguin Random House, Macmillan, and HarperCollins in utilizing Batch, which is currently used by approximately 650 booksellers in the U.S. Batch was originally launched by the Booksellers Association of the U.K. and Ireland in 2000 and is now used in 80 countries.
