Uber Technologies, Inc. and Wayve have received Private Hire Vehicle licenses from Transport for London (TfL) for their autonomous all-electric Ford Mustang Mach-E vehicles. This development is part of a partnership aimed at introducing autonomous rides
in London. The vehicles, equipped with Wayve's AI Driver, have been inspected to meet TfL's safety standards. More than 100,000 Londoners have expressed interest in experiencing these autonomous rides. Initially, a trained and licensed driver will be present to oversee the trips, which will operate under the Government's AV Trialling Code of Practice.
