What's Happening?
Salesforce is shifting its primary development environment from the traditional Developer Console to the new Web Console with the Winter ’27 release. The Web Console is a browser-based Integrated Development Environment (IDE) designed to offer a more
modern development experience directly within Salesforce. This change means that the Web Console will be the default development option shown in Setup when active, positioning it as the central tool for developers. While the legacy Developer Console is not being removed, it will no longer be the default and can be re-enabled from Setup if needed.
