Framework has introduced a new desktop configuration featuring AMD's Ryzen AI Max+ PRO 495 processor, equipped with 192GB of unified memory. This system, showcased at AMD's Advancing AI event, is the first of its kind to offer such a high memory capacity
with this processor. The Ryzen AI Max+ PRO 495 retains 16 Zen 5 cores and 40 RDNA 3.5 Compute Units, with a CPU boost clock of 5.2 GHz. It also includes Radeon 8065S graphics and an NPU capable of up to 55 TOPS. The system is designed to run DeepSeek-V4-Flash at Q8, utilizing 162GB of memory, while still allowing for additional memory usage. Framework has also modified the PCIe x4 slot to an open-ended design, enabling the installation of longer PCIe cards. A prebuilt version with a Linux distribution is also in development.
