What's Happening?
The Wood County Fair's Ring of Dreams event has successfully paired junior fair members with individuals with developmental disabilities to participate in a livestock show. This initiative, now in its fourth year, allows participants to show various animals,
including rabbits, chickens, goats, pigs, beef feeders, and lambs, fostering a sense of community and inclusion. The event is part of the fair's Let Abilities Shine Day, which aims to provide opportunities for individuals with disabilities to engage in fair activities. The program has expanded to include a summer experience, where partners work together over several months to prepare for the show.
