This vehicle, originally designed by von Holzhausen during his time at General Motors, features an LS2 V8 engine, a significant upgrade from the standard four-cylinder engines the Solstice was originally equipped with. The car's design was inspired by historic race cars and was part of an internal challenge at GM to revitalize the Pontiac brand. The engine swap was performed by Mallet Performance Cars, a North Carolina shop specializing in GM conversions.
