What's Happening?
Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas, home to the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo, has officially been renamed Ariat Arena. This change follows a naming rights agreement secured by Ariat, a Fort Worth-based Western wear company, for at least the next decade.
Ariat, which moved its regional headquarters to Fort Worth in 2020, will begin installing new signage immediately, with completion expected by early 2027. Prior to this agreement, Ariat was the title sponsor of The Ariat Club, the arena's premium hospitality space, and a long-standing corporate sponsor of the FWSSR. The company also announced a two-phase expansion of its regional headquarters in 2025, involving an investment of over $70 million and the creation of 250 new jobs in the city. Additionally, Ariat and TDMC will establish a charitable giving program to support Fort Worth-area organizations.
Why It's Important?
This renaming signifies a deeper investment by Ariat in the Fort Worth community, reinforcing its commitment to the city's Western heritage and economic growth. The expansion of Ariat's regional headquarters and the creation of 250 new jobs will provide a significant boost to the local economy, offering employment opportunities and contributing to the city's tax base. The establishment of a charitable giving program further demonstrates Ariat's dedication to community engagement and support for local organizations, potentially enhancing social programs and services in Fort Worth. For the arena, securing a long-term naming rights partner like Ariat ensures financial stability and continued operation, allowing it to host a diverse range of events, from concerts and sports games to family shows, which in turn drives tourism and local spending. Fort Worth Mayor Mattie Parker highlighted the importance of this partnership, emphasizing Ariat's role as a leading Western and equestrian performance brand and its commitment to the city's vitality.
