What's Happening?
The Imperial Valley Desert Museum partnered with the Imperial Public Library to host Museum Day, an event aimed at educating the community about the region's history and wildlife. Held on July 24, the event featured presentations on the unique animals
of the Imperial Valley and surrounding areas, as well as a hands-on clay pot activity using traditional Kumeyaay techniques. Participants learned about the creation of fossils and had the opportunity to view and touch real specimens. The event was part of the library's summer reading program and attracted a significant number of attendees, who were able to take home their personalized clay creations.
