What's Happening?
Finney's Crafthouse, a Southern California-based restaurant group, is set to open its first location outside of California in Downtown Summerlin, Las Vegas, in September 2026. The new establishment will replace the former Wolfgang Puck Players Locker.
Owned by brothers Greg and Brad Finefrock, Finney's Crafthouse is known for its neighborhood tavern atmosphere and sports viewing experience. The Las Vegas location will feature 20 high-definition televisions and a menu with over 50 items, including buffalo cauliflower, coconut shrimp, and a wagyu ribeye burger. The beverage program will offer 30 rotating craft beers and 18 signature cocktails. The restaurant will occupy a 5,400 square foot indoor space and a 2,400 square foot outdoor area, which is dog-friendly. A second Las Vegas location is planned for Town Square by late 2026.
Why It's Important?
The expansion of Finney's Crafthouse into Las Vegas signifies the city's growing appeal as a destination for diverse dining experiences. By choosing Las Vegas, the restaurant group taps into a vibrant market known for its dynamic food scene and passionate sports culture. This move could enhance the local economy by creating jobs and attracting both residents and tourists. The introduction of a new dining venue with a focus on sports viewing aligns with Las Vegas's reputation as a sports city, potentially drawing in sports fans and enhancing the city's entertainment offerings. The expansion also reflects broader trends in the restaurant industry, where brands seek to establish a presence in high-traffic, tourist-friendly locations.
What's Next?
Following the opening of the Summerlin location, Finney's Crafthouse plans to continue its expansion in Las Vegas with a second location in Town Square by late 2026. The success of these ventures could lead to further growth opportunities within the city and potentially beyond. The restaurant's entry into Las Vegas may prompt other regional brands to consider similar expansions, contributing to the city's culinary diversity. As the opening date approaches, marketing efforts and community engagement will likely increase to build anticipation and attract a loyal customer base.
