What's Happening?
Central Storage & Warehouse has expanded its ultra-cold storage facility in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin, adding capacity for products requiring temperatures as low as -70°F. This expansion, in partnership with Consolidated Construction Company and Summit
Refrigeration, is the company's second in recent years, following expansions in 2016 and 2020. The facility supports the food manufacturing supply chain by providing specialized storage for temperature-sensitive ingredients.
Why It's Important?
The expansion is crucial for the food supply chain, particularly for manufacturers needing ultra-cold storage solutions. It enhances the capacity for storing temperature-sensitive products, which is vital for maintaining product integrity and meeting growing demand. This development could lead to increased efficiency and reliability in the supply chain, benefiting food manufacturers and logistics providers.
