ZeroUSV, a British company, has launched the Oceanus17, a 56-foot autonomous vessel, at Turnchapel Wharf in Plymouth, England. This vessel is notable for its 20-foot shipping-container-sized slot, capable of carrying up to four tonnes and equipped with
30 kilowatts of power dedicated to the payload. The Oceanus17 is designed to be versatile, allowing customers to prepare mission-specific equipment in a standard container, which can then be easily integrated into the vessel. This design allows for rapid reconfiguration and deployment for various missions, including defense, hydrographic surveys, and environmental monitoring. The vessel boasts an operational endurance of over 50 days and a range exceeding 5,000 nautical miles, with potential extensions using external fuel tanks.
