Twitch has announced that its Affiliate streamers can now access brand sponsorship opportunities, a feature previously largely reserved for Partners. This initiative aims to remove barriers between streamers and earning opportunities by allowing Affiliates
to be discovered, execute campaigns, and receive payments from brands directly through Twitch. The platform has integrated a Sponsorship Dashboard to streamline the end-to-end process for campaigns. To qualify for these opportunities, Affiliates are required to complete a new educational course on Creator Camp, becoming 'Creator Sponsorship Certified.' This certification will be displayed on their Creator Profile, signaling their readiness to brands. The decision to expand sponsorships follows successful one-off campaigns, such as the Minecraft 'Tiny Takeover' and 'More Minecraft, More Challenges,' where over 50% of participating paid streamers were Affiliates, demonstrating a clear demand for broader Affiliate partnerships.
