Sanford Sports has announced the hiring of Casey Frandsen, a veteran coach and trainer, to lead its newly established Sanford Sports Academy basketball program in Rapid City, South Dakota. Frandsen brings over 20 years of experience in coaching and player
development to his new role. Most recently, he served as the basketball director and lead trainer at E3 Sports Complex in Rapid City, which was acquired by Sanford Sports in August. Before his tenure at E3, Frandsen held positions as head JV and assistant varsity coach at James Valley Christian School in Huron, South Dakota. He also spent more than a decade operating Next Step Basketball in Washington state, where he provided individual, small group, and team training. Todd Kolb, Sanford Sports Academy director, stated that Frandsen is the ideal candidate to lead the basketball program in the Black Hills, emphasizing his ability to elevate local youth talent in western South Dakota.
