Jabil Inc., a global leader in engineering and manufacturing solutions, has announced the opening of a new factory in Pune, India. This expansion is part of Jabil's significant growth in India, increasing its manufacturing capacity from 500,000 square
feet to 1.2 million square feet over the past year. The new facility, located in the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation industrial zone, was inaugurated on June 16, 2026. The expansion has also led to an increase in Jabil's regional workforce from 5,000 to nearly 11,000 employees. The opening ceremony was attended by notable figures including the Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis, and the Minister for Railways, Information & Broadcasting, and Electronics & Information Technology, Ashwini Vaishnaw. This development aligns with Jabil's commitment to India as a strategic location for advanced manufacturing.
