The Seattle Kraken have announced the re-signing of defenseman Gustav Olofsson to an AHL contract for the 2026-27 season. Olofsson, originally a second-round pick by the Minnesota Wild in the 2013 NHL Draft, has spent much of his career in the AHL. He
played for the Minnesota Wild from 2015 to 2018, recording 11 assists in 56 games before being traded to the Montreal Canadiens. Olofsson joined the Kraken organization as a free agent ahead of the 2021-22 season. Last season, he had his best professional performance, scoring four goals and 32 points in 48 games for the Coachella Valley Firebirds, the Kraken's AHL affiliate, with a +28 rating.
