Capital One has fully restored access to its lounge at Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) following a months-long infrastructure project. The work focused on improving the facility's ventilation and temperature control, rather than altering
its physical layout. Travelers departing from IAD can now once again utilize the full 8,500-square-foot lounge experience, which includes seating, a coffee bar, grab-and-go food, a full bar, and a buffet with hot and cold dishes. During the partial closure, eligible visitors were directed to a dedicated food counter outside the main lounge, offering limited hot food, grab-and-go items, and café-style seating. Eligible cardholders and guests must present a qualifying card or digital pass and a boarding pass for a same-day flight to gain entry. Access is permitted up to three hours before departure and remains subject to availability. Passengers arriving at Dulles without a same-day connection cannot use an arriving-flight boarding pass for lounge access.
