Hypersonic, an Australian electronic music festival produced by Symbiotic, has announced that Armin van Buuren will headline its 2026 event for the second year in a row. The Dutch electronic artist previously headlined the festival's inaugural event.
The 2026 festival is scheduled for Friday, November 20th, at Melbourne Showground in Melbourne, VIC, and Saturday, November 21st, at Royal Randwick Racecourse in Sydney, NSW. Organizers stated that the decision to bring back van Buuren was driven by audience demand, as he remains one of the most requested artists. The lineup for 2026 will also feature a diverse range of artists including W&W, Showtek, Timmy Trumpet, Hybrid Minds, Cyril, Pendulum (DJ Set), and Charlotte Haining, expanding its musical offering across genres such as EDM, techno, drum and bass, dubstep, hardstyle, tech-house, and dance pop. MC Stretch, known as the voice of Tomorrowland, will return to host the event.
